Sarojadevi got JFW Women Achievers Awards 2013

veteran actress legend Padmabushan Dr Saroja Devi has got JFW women Achievers award for 2013 with actress Trisha and others..

JFW, South India`s leading women`s magazine hosted the fifth edition of its JFW Women Achievers` Awards on March 1, 2013 in Chennai. The awardees this year were Padmabushan Sarojadevi,  Sania Mirza, Trisha Krishnan, Dr Tessy Thomas, Alarmel Valli,  Sujatha Mohan, Dipika Pallikal and Hansika Motwani.

The awards were presented by some of the most successful and renowned men from the film industry. Actors Madhavan and Jiiva presented the award to Trisha for Excellence In Entertainment

 while actor Dhanush presented Sania Mirza her award for Excellence In Sports. Ace music director Harris Jayraj and director K V Anand presented the award for Excellence In Music to Sujatha Mohan. The others who presented the awards included national award-winning cinematographer Santosh Sivan to Tessy Thomas (Science and Technology), Devi Sri Prasad and Khushbu to Hansika Motwani (Sensation Of The Year), cinematographer Ravi K Chandran to Alarmel Valli (Classical Dance), singer Vijay Yesudas to Dipika Pallikal (Newsmaker of 2012) and legendary singer P Susheela to veteran actor Saroja Devi (Legend).

There were foot-tapping dance performances and music performances by stars like Anjali, Varalaxmi, Remya Nambesan, Andrea, Anirud and Shwetha Mohan. An acrobatic salsa performance by kids had everyone gasping in wonder.
