23rd September marked the first death anniversary of the yesteryears’ dancing damsel Padmini. The much-adored actress succumbed to a heart attack last September and the whole industry mourned the loss. In memory of the actress, a CD titled 'Padmini Oru Sagaaptham' [Padmini is an Epic] was released. Padmabushan Dr Sarojadevi released the CD on behalf of Insight Media while actress M.N. Rajam received the first copy. Known and widely-appreciated for her graceful dance movements and her moving performances in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films, Padmini was one of the top actresses in her day. She will always be remembered fondly by friends, fans, family and the film fraternity.
