On January 9 the Karnataka Chalachitra Academy organized Belli Hejje for which Saroja Devi was the chief guest. Dr.Saroja Devi is a recipient of the Padma Bhushan award and won many critically acclaimed awards for different languages. She has done Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi films opposite almost all the big names. .
